Hi All,
Forgive me if there is already a post on this, but from my searches I can't find exactly what I am after, but if there is a link please post.

I have recently acquired a 96 Ford EF Futura Sedan.
The Thermo fans don't kick into hi speed until 105 degrees, so driving around town, the gauge sits on R or just between R, and O and will sit around 104 to 107. If come to idle, and temp is above 105 degrees, the fans will kick into high speed until below 104/103.

I don't think this is normal for a cooling system to be running this high?
I have already replaced Coolant, and I replaced the ECU Coolant Temp sensor as I couldn't get the fans to go into high speed before, which I can if I disconnect the ECU Coolant Temp sensor, and then the fans go into high speed. This would tell me the four relays are working okay? ? ?

I am wondering is the issue maybe water flow, or ECU?

Is this common in this model of Falcon?

Thank you.
Jim

if its in the area of the gauge that says normal then its generally considered normal, however some prefer it to run a little cooler, if you want it to run a tad cooler i would change the thermostat to a cooler heat range, to either a 88 deg or 82 deg instead of the factory 91 deg..

also check the radiator between the a/c condensor for dirt and debris that can build up over time
