G'day again,
I had my aircon serviced by Bridgestone Select at Browns Plains in Qld about 2 months ago. Cut a long story short, it took about 2 and half hours to get the aircon going. The manager said it took a while to get the cabin temperature to 9 degrees, whether this is Celsius or Fahrenheit it's bloody cold, probably too cold to drive continually at that setting. I don't have climate control on my Ford AUII, just stock standard air con. I was told the aircon does make some noise, (they could not say what the noise was) but said aircon could last for few weeks or 5 years. Sure it was cold when fist collected, then after couple of weeks driving, not so cold as first time round. They never replaced the orifice tube. Question is are they telling porkies , I have never heard of a car aircon unit deliver 9 degrees, I think even climate control models go as low as 18 degrees, I could be wrong. Yep, still stops delivering cold air on occasions, vacuum tubes look ok. Any advice is welcome Cheers |
