It's a little dependent on how much $$$ you have and how MUCH you are willing to spend?

Is the Ute in good condition? Are your tyres in LEGAL condition? No bits hanging off? These are the things that police usually look for when they see P's :)

Have you changed the Air cleaner element since you bought it? changed the Fuel Filter?
There are a few things you can do to get more AIR into the engine.
One of these would be good, it is from a Territory and will fit your Ute.
Air Tubing

One of these from a TURBO BA will be a good thing to have also but, I would be looking at buying a new one, they are available from a Ford Dealer Part No BA 9A624A about $77.00:
Inlet Duct

Cars are like people, they do not work at their best without a good intake? People don't work well unless they have a good air supply and cars are the same. Doing these things will help with your fuel economy and will also give you a little power boost, not a LOT but some.
You will also need to look at your Spark Plugs and make sure they are in good condition.

Try some or all of these suggestions before you embark on a new " loud" exhaust and make sure that your BRAKES are in good condition. If you can do all of that, you can then start thinking of some more aggressive performance upgrades. :)

Yeah mate I've hade it up on the hoist and checked it over with the old man and serviced it and put new brakes New filters on and all that, I was wondering what is fuel efficient that I can do to keep it p player compatible and give it some more go. Thanks for the help the air tubing and inlet duct is definitely something I'll look into.

Thanks mate
