I have a dedicated LPG 2006 BF NA XR6 with a taxi diff(sounds that way). There is a 2.73 XR6T Diff on gumtree rebuilt for $400. Would this work in the 4spd Auto i am trying to not spend too much money to fix it. If Anyone has any ideas or suggestions how to fix it (cheaply) please let me know.
It has 230 odd k on i. Thanks again, Damo |

i'm gunna presume that your BF has a 3.23 diff as it's a 4sp [correct if me if wrong someone] & that 'maybe' the oil in the diff needs changing? the only reason i'm saying oil ... is mine has had i whine in it since i put that diff in [bought 2ndhand] & and all i did was change the oil in it. didn't notice any whine/rumble today driving around melb on freeways & this is quite a few months later. but changing oil won't fix a major problem tho. also the 2.73 will mean your gearbox will work harder from take off.

2.73 Is a 6 speed diff, good for top end but will be very slow on acceleration ,wagon diff will fit au wagon ute also fits with minor hand brake mods

2.73 is a stronger diff too though?
