Hi all! I'm new here! My Ford has a broken ignition barrel and didnt want to spend another $1000 to fix it. So i have decided to install a simple push button and hot glue the key in the chip reader.. (I'm also installing a GPS tracker in it since its problematic). The problem i have today is finding the wire codes and yes i have spent the last 2 hours researching on this topic but i have now resorted to asking the ford community! (thanks in advance!)
I have the following colored wires behind the key ignition. RED/STRIP OF GREEN - PURPLE/WHITE - WHITE - BLAKE - RED/STRIP OF BLUE - YELLOW - My plan to install a switch to keep the ACC alive, then a push button to start the engine. I will post the result for the community and maybe make some instructions to help others who come across this same idea! Thanks community!

Thanks all! Hi, i doubt anyone would have the paper version ... so try on ebay for the cd version as they are around. just make sure that the one you grab does have the wiring covered as some don't. that's where i found mine. theres also a mob ive seen on facebook recently who supply a recon switch which can be fitted into the existing steering column. Might be a better (and more legal) option!
