Hi folks. Bought myself an 2016 FG X. I am informed that the rear suspension on the BA to FG is a "weak point", particularly the upper diff bush. However, I am also believe that this bush has been revised by Ford in the late FG's. This revised bush can also be used in the early FG's
Can anybody confirm this? Also, I believe the control blade bushes also have been revised by Ford. Again, anybody confirm this? Cheers |

I just got my diff bushes and control blades checked on my BA yesterday and they are still good and not split.
And yes FG are the same but not sure about later models. In my opinion diff bushes depend all on driving style if you want them to last.

Quote: n my opinion diff bushes depend all on driving style if you want them to last. I heartily agree. Aggressive driving will chop them out. I crawled under on the w/end and could see how the diff bush flexes. Also the "blade" takes all the punishment of acceleration and braking. |

The latest bushes on the FGX are the same as the BF type through to FGX
BAF 4B425SF for the Autos and Manuals and for the ZF 6speed Autos, 8R2Z 4B425AB. |
