G'day all, new to the Forum. Just bought a 2006 BF XR6, has Extractors and Exhaust done. The bloke said it was a 6spd, but I'd like to confirm that, can someone please post the Trans IDs and what they correlate to?

Unless its a Turbo or Fairmont Ghia it wont be a 6 speed.

Cheers! as was mentioned ... prob not. 6sp has a differant shifter surround to the 4sp & my other half has a 2006 Fairmont with only 4 speeds. 6sp shifter  4sp shifter

Thanks for the quick replies guys, there was an option for the ZF 6spd in the BF XR6, going to have a crawl under it this morning and see if the Trans will tell me what I need to know

If the shifter does not have the 6 speed written on it and look like the pic it aint a 6 speed. Its as simple as that.

THAT will tell you what box IS fitted without the need to get down & dirty  and quicker/easier also check id stickers
