Hi
Wondering people have had problems with the ba actuators snapping gears are they really that bad are they good what's chance of them breaking Also if you cut out the panel bit where the latch bolts on both e series and the au-bf door and weld the au-bf peice back in the series door make it look nice and bolt the au-bf striker to the pillar will that work, wiring it won't be a problem Do the striker from a ba bolt exactly where the e series one was otherwise Eventually the e series actuators will be outdated and the fairlane latch switches you can't get and the later ones have then all built in If anyone's done it and can answer that'd be wonderful Thanks |

Ive only ever replaced 1 actuator on my EB. My BA ive done multiple and if they break it can take years and when they break they dont give warning. They are not that hard to do on B series anyway. Piece of piss and gears are widely available for them. E series you need a good L shaped socket to undo the actuators from inside the door and again easy to replace.
Stop stressing over this s**t and unless they break leave them alone. Go down to the pub and get some chicks and relax.

Thinking of converting because the fairlane courtesy switches for the dash you can't get new now and the au on latches have those switches built in
Is there a way they can be made to fit the e series door wether you drill another hole or cut the bit where the latch bolts out both e series and au door and weld the au peice back in the e series door Will the door ajar switches on the au on door latch turn off the lights on the nf/nl fairlane dash |
