Thought id start another thread as the other was going nowhere.
Eb v8 has no ignition power to the ecu, what would cause this? I was instructed to check fuel pump and ecu relays and wiring with a specific test and it tested ok apparently. Very confusing because the ecu should be getting power through the relay when ign is on? |

I only have one question right now and that is "what stops ignition power from getting to the ecu?"

Ive been chasing all those things, fuses are fine, wiring diagrams talk about fusible links but ive only found one so far near the relays and its fine, theres meant to be at least 3-4 near the battery.
If the car still turns over and everything else has ignition power as usual could the ignition switch be faulty,i wouldn't have thought so,its the only thing I haven't looked into. Where as chasing broken/burnt,exposed wires etc,how longs a piece of string, could take forever which is where im at now The fuel pump relay is working but doesn't click on when acc are turned on,the ecu relay doesn't seem to be working or functioning/doing its job at supplying power to the ecu but it does click on,just doing my head in lol |
