Hey guys, currently trying to change the auto knob with a new one. I can get as far as removing the leather boot but i can't work out how to get the stick off. Can anyone help me please?

At the front part of the Auto Gear lever Knob, you will find a star screw holding the lever on.

You have to push the white collar down and there will be a U shaped clip that needs to slide out.

Yeah sorry I didn't clarify that.. haha

Just out of curiosity does a 4 speed knob fit a 6 speed one an vice-versa?

No, they don't. Check out Ebay, there are people selling 6 speed Auto Gear knobs.
