Hi Guys
looking for some help, not sure I am in the right place to ask questions as this is my first time on here

I have an 2000 SER2 XR8 that has been sitting in my garage for over a year battery went flat as I have not started it for about 8mths, I put a new battery in it get full reds but it wont crank over nothing at all,
I have been told that the key may have decoded itself not sure if this is the case or not but took the key to a locksmith who said he could test it to see if it was still coded and reckons it is so I am looking for any suggestions.

Does the Smartshield light go out when you turn the key on?
