I'm putting an AU engine my EF. Do I keep the EF engine mounts? Or switch to later ones? I'm sure I read somewhere that the later ones worked better and were more robust, but can't find the thread.
Thanks

Are the ones you have okay? If they are, I would use them. EF/EL have different mounts, some are square and some are round, which have you got?

I have the round EF mounts. But I heard that the later square ones are better at isolating vibration and are less prone to failure. If it is worth changing them, I might as well do it while the engine is out of the car. But is it worth it?

If you can get the square one cheap, I can't see why not? You will also need the bracket that bolts to the cross member.
