hi there iv got a question about a scan tool to read my car codesign etc, brought a elm 327 bluthooth one from China and one for Australia both won't work, has anyone found the rite one for a ford au series 3 xr6vct 2002 model much appreciated got a bit of a skip when car in park and the exeleretor goes up and down just a bit early starts. Concerned to the fuse box next to the sterring wheel via tourqe pro, tryed conecting with no success, cheers

I have connected my AU2 to FORScan via a laptop with some success [also a BF & hopefully shortly a BA as well], but currently still learning. there are a 'few' members on here who have used it on the AU & up models with success, however I do not know anything about "tourqe pro" sorry. also just be aware that NOT all elm's are created equal on ebay. |

Thanks for your help hopefully somone can help me and yes ur rite like I said I'n the previous message brought one from chiba won't conect no way so I thought try Australia company atleast this one was trying to conect but no success thinking of getting the elm 327 but wifi give that a go if works I'll put up a thread. Lol, rite there most of the stuff if works lucky lasts a month. Sorry also the air intake snorkel is small was going to put a ba bf big mouth snorkel would you know if it would fit the standard au xr6 air box? ?

So to Clarify - An AU Does not do OBD2, and so Torque wont give a lot of useful info.
FORSCAN will however give you lots of info. It can see the PCM, Cluster, ABS on the bus and show the fault codes. FORSCAN is free. |

I've used ForScan for my AUII via ELM3207 connector.
From my understanding the Ford AUII is not fully OBDII compliant, it's only partially compliant. After a certain year i.e. after 2000. That's the impression I got from the Ford Techs, whether its true or not is something else. Yes, it can provide Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) and can reset trouble codes. |
