I had the ignition switch on my xr6 changed because it fell apart and replaced with one form a wrecker. I also installed a new battery at the time. The key clicks to accesseries, on and start as it should, indicating that everything inside the barrel went back together as it should. But no lights come on the dash nor does the fuel pump prime. The smartlock key is flashing and code has throwen up on the stereo.

Would i jsut have to take it to a mechanic or would I have to a ford dealer (my closest ford dealer is 300km away)

If anyone has had the same problem I would appreciate

Check all fuses including ignition fuse in under bonnet fuse box
Fit key and barrel from old switch
