Hey all.
My ford falcon ba fan blower is not working. switching cold to hot works. when i pull on a black and brown wire, located behind the glove box and next to the fan, the blower fan turns on. i played around with where the black and brown cables enter the side panel (behind the dash i am assuming) and noticed it was loose. decided to pull it out and noticed that it was half melted and burnt. the plastic casing (white plug) was completely burnt. decided to crush this off and plug the 2 wires without the plastic plug back in. blower fan then worked BUT wires were getting hot. any ideas on what the issue could be? should i replace the white plug? have a feeling that the otherside, where it plugs in, is also damaged but i can't see. cheers for any help.
The plug is hard to describe. its a male part that plugs into a female part in the side wall under the glove box. on the end of the wires are 2 female metal parts (which are completely exposed with out the plastic casing ie plug). they plug in 1 vertical and 1 horizontal.
