Hey guys,
Recently I bought a ed falcon that wasn't running for about 5 years due to bugged fuel pump, so naturally I fitted new pump and she fired up and ran no problems. Then over night it wouldn't run, cranks over fine so I've replaced coil,TFI, dizzy cap, rotor button and leads. Has power to coil but doesn't have spark at dizzy. Injectors have power to them but won't pulse but noticed both wires are live when ignition in on? I also cleaned contacts in smartlock as well. Seems to have power in all the right places on TFI. Any help would be awesome. Cheers Lachlan |

You have baked a cake and left out the most important ingredient.

does distributor actually turn when you crank -
check you still have power to coil when you crank - does it have a cut out switch - power to both sides of injector is normal until it pulses which it won't if you have no spark do you have spark from coil HT connection - check for pulse from coil low tension wiring when cranking with a test light - spark can start then stop if it is cranked to long - make sure you are getting fuel -spray with engine start .. |

He has not checked the hall sensor in the dizzy, no pip signal, no spark, no fuel pump ground on pin 22, no ground on the injectors, hence, left out the most important ingredient in the cake.

I haven't physically seen the dizzy spin. Will check coil power is present when cranking. Definetley no power from the HT side of coil.I'm not sure if the smartlock is playing a part in this. Thanks for the help |

I'm pretty sure I was getting pip signal coming from tfi. But could I ground pin 22 to test injectors will work? Thanks for help |

I checked for a signal coming from dizzy to coil and there isn't one getting there, so does that mean it's the hall sensor? Or something else

So did you find out what it was? was it the hall sensor?
