are you talking AU models in general or specific series ie series1, series2 etc ?

If you're talking about AU 6 cylinder specifically there is two different types of Torque Converters, the main difference is the length of the snout of the converter where it slides into the transmission. I'm unsure whether they can be interchanged though.
