G'day peeps,
I want to use electric windows in my XH. Is it just a matter of using early X-series design electric window parts? cheers. |

I thought some XH XR6/XR8's came out with electric windows or am I wrong?
Cheers Johnny.

I don't think so Johnny, I have the genuine workshop manuals and no mention is made of electric windows.

The diagrams show similar features of the original X-series Falcons scissor type window lift but I'm wondering if there's enough differences to make it a PITA?

I have looked for the pictures previously, but can't find them, because of course here they ballsed the pics up. You do have to mod the regs as the XF ghia ones are slightly different. Switchwise I got an EB/ED fairmont 4 switch panel and modded it for 2 switch. Later on I scored the XF ghia door pods, so modded them for the switch setup. The XF's also had a disc that glues where the manual winders were. This is a good writeup on an alternate setup: ford-x-series-f29/universal-electric-windows-into-xh-ute-t123238.html XH's were manual winders only from factory.
