I have two polyurethane bump stops I bought last year and, for the life of me I cannot get them on. Maybe I am getting too old and don't have the strength but, there is NO way they go on like so many have told me and so, I am hoping that someone on here has had experience with these bump stops?

They are the almost hollow type and about 20mm shorter than the originals.

Any help would be appreciated. :)

Yep use the force. Put them on from an angle.

I did try on an angle and I also got a socket and bar to try and force them on but, obviously not enough strength. I have tried with 4 different lubricants and still no luck :(

maybe soak them a while in 'hottish' water and then try? [so they are more pliable?]

Thanks Mad II and Yes, I realised after I had posted the lubricants statement.

I should have learned after 40+ years in the Motor trade. I used to be careful about telling people that someone called and wanted them to ring them :D

Well, I did the only thing I could to make them fit, I bored out the centre hole. I believe these bushes are too thick where they go onto the dogs d**k and I tried to fit them on another rear suspension frame I have at home thinking it may be that I couldn't get enough power to hit them on but, still wouldn't work.
Even after boring them out a little they STILL will not go all the way down and sit under the cap of the dogs d**k. I doubt I would EVER suggest these particular s**t things to anyone.

Are they aftermarket ones ? The originals are made of foam and should not have caused you so much problems :?
I could do with a couple myself..

The reason I didn't is because I have had them for about 6 months and were an Ebay buy. Had I still been working I would have had other choices but, that's life.

These were Black after market ones and I guess I should have looked more into it??? I should have gone for a different style?
These are the ones I got:

Second picture yes. The first picture imo does not look like the right ones unless they are more meant for lowered cars :?
