1/ Hi I have an 06 XR6 BF Falcon and the boot light doesn't work, fuse is ok and the globe is ok, if you accidently touch the metal that holds the globe onto the body it sparks, so it obviously has power, no idea where the switch is for it either ?
2/ When the headlights are in the Auto position they do not come on ? |

IF the globe isnt blown and your getting sparking when touching the metal sounds like the switch is fine maybe the globe isnt making good contact? is it LED glove or a Old school filament globe you are using? If its a LED try putting it in the opposite way around LED's are polarized (sorry if you know this) The switch for the boot light is internal to the boot latch mechanism. For a little more info for future reference if you need it the switches for the door locks are also in the door actuator mechanisms. {USERNAME} wrote: 2/ When the headlights are in the Auto position they do not come on ? Have you picked the car up recently or had it for ages? did the auto lights work when you got it? Slim chance tht the stalk may have been replaced with one that has the auto setting posistion on it but the car isnt wired up for it? Is there a little round sensor in the middle of the dash up by the windscreen?

Hi mate and thanks for replying,
1/ The globe is not LED. So a bit of a mystery 2/ I only got the car a couple of weeks ago and they did tell me it didn't work, it has the dome sensor near the windscreen in the dash. So i guess it could be a faulty sensor or the column stalk faulty. Not easy to work out i don't imagine. |
