I have a 2006 BF Fairmont Ghia. The only way I can get the interior lights to illuminate is with the remote unlock button or the ICC dome light button. Opening any door does nothing whatsoever. Even after the car has been driven, and the key pulled from the ignition.... Nothing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers. |

try pressing and holding down the ICC dome light button for 5 seconds until the lights flash. This will enable/disable the courtesy light function.

I have tried that.. Tried it with the door open, closed.. Ignition on, off.. You name it, I've tried it as far as the ICC dome light button goes.. I'm stumped.

Sounds like it could be a drivers door lock, it is what activates the interior light when you open the door.

What about the other doors though..? None of the doors activate the interior light either..

Does the lcd in the dash show when a door is open?

Yes it does.. Door and boot.

Ok so a little update.. If I have the car running, or the ignition turned to ON with the interior light on and any door already open, and then shut the door, the interior light fades out immediately as per normal.. However open any door and it does nothing whatsoever..
(by pressing the ICC button or unlock on key remote to turn on the interior light just to clarify. ) |
