Hello

I have ordered a replacement inhibitor switch (aka park/neutral switch) for my BF MKII (4-speed auto). One of the steps outlined in the workshop manual states:

"Where fitted, remove the external cross-shaft pin using the special tool #307-467 pin remover or equivalent."

Can anyone tell me if I should expect my transmission to have an external cross-shaft pin fitted? If so, is the removal tool readily available? I expect it won't be.

I have attached a photo of the part in the workshop manual as well as the part fitted to my car. Some things appear to be different.

Thank you.

wont help you but i can see the part that broke on mine.
