i have got xf spindles and discs on my 1966 xr ute. I have found that although all the suspension wear parts were replaced including the wheel bearings, they didn't re fit the spindle hub nut retainer cage (that cover all the names?) and so the nut is free to roam where it wants. also the dust / frease caps are lookin s**t so i would like to replace them too. I have tried every popular auto big and small accesory place and brake "specialist" trailer spares and tried vrious mechanical shops and some wreckers. but cant buy the things anywhere. the nut it has to fit over is a 1"and1/8th or 44.45 mm anyone know the thread type and size. anyonr know where to get em. ppppleeeeeaaazzzz. yes i know i can bend a long split pin over but i dont like crap like that. no i am not going to try fit a castleated nut.just cant believe its so hard to get them. i found new caps this arvo but of course they wont fit.
