Has anyone redesigned the BA key fob yet to prevent accidental pressing of buttons? I'm forever accidentally opening the boot and tripping the panic alarm just by having the keys in my pocket.
Surely it wouldn't be difficult for someone with a 3D printer to redesign the front part of the case to include a sliding panel covering the buttons or similar? |

i learnt after a 'few' accidental hits on the remote to NOT leave it said pocket..... it's a pain working under car & hit the panic button . . . with airhorns

If I remove the key from the pocket then I won't have the key with me, and that won't do. I can see how to do redesign it, even have a sample of the design from another model - I just don't have a 3D printer, or any CAD design skills |

I may have come up with a far better and simpler way to achieve this... will order some spares so I don't butcher my good ones and then begin a prototype.

I modified one I already had. Took a bit of messing around and relocating the battery off the circuit board into the back housing instead, but I ended up with an on / off switch at the bottom next to the key chain part so I just turn off the fob before it goes in the pocket |
