Who has has had this problem? I fitted a new sump gasket thinking that was where the oil was leaking from. That proved that's NOT where it was coming from. So I watched while under the car and the engine running and found oil was coming down onto the shelf just above where the sump meets the block. Since the water pump and hb pulleys are in my way, I can't see the exact source of the leak. A good friend of mine said it's either the bolts or brackets that hold the power steering pump to the side of the engine, or it's a leak in the timing cover gasket. The side of the alternator was caked in crud and underside of the belt tensioner was too. There was very little oil stain at all on the side of the power steering bracket. Did anyone have to take off the hb to find out exactly where that leak was coming from?
