Has anyone got a photo / measurement or both of what that rear bumper retainer looks like?
Mine went missing , I plan to make one. I wont be paying $55.00 for one from the wreckers in Qld. I have a 2mm thick aluminium plate. Thanks, Bondy |

Mad2,
Thanks for your reply. The item, could be named differently but though it was a bumper retainer. On the Ford AU2 Sedan it's a piece of metal that sits under the rear bumper bar and goes from the bumper bar to the underside of the wheel well. From what I gather it is or was held in position with 4 rivets. 2 at the bumper bar and the other 2 rivets would have been at the wheel well. It's positioned somewhere between the middle and towards the tail pipe, but underneath the bumper bar. Cheers |

Cheers yep sounds similar to what's on her BF sedan. just look at 'where' it was mounted [holes in bumper/wheel well] & go from there.......... otherwise i'm hoping to go back to wreckers & can checkout the piece then if needed. |

with the first two pics, i think it was 'about' 155mm between the rivets. i couldn't get the camera where i wanted it to show length clearly.
Goood luck with it |
