it seems this is a fairly common issue, i put in brighter globes 5 years ago and now the lights go out when i try to use the high beams for longer then 2 minutes, I've narrowed down the usual issue to being the headlight circuit breaker but where to find said breaker is the issue, I've asked 6 different people and have gotten 6 different locations for it! would someone settle this once and for all - where is the headlight circuit break for an AU (an AU Falcon!) i need my high beams folks, im a "High beamophile" i cant go back to 55/55w these 100/130w only just do enough

You do realise running higher wattage globes could melt the factory wiring along with the connector and possibly the headlight lenses yeah. On my EB with glass lenses i melted the connector on the back of the globe and tarnished the reflector so ended up going HID with new reflectors.
Be careful using higher rated globes especially in plastic lenses.

very true with the standard lenses .... can easily use the 100/130-130 in the XR lights [changed wiring to suit]

i used a 130w globe in my EL for its entire life with no melted wires or melted lenses and it did so much more night driving then my AU, but i'll check for any signs of that in the morning
