here is no single answer to that.
It would be $4500 to $6000 depending on who you get the price from and what brand kit they use.

wow thats expensive, we can get the orbital LLI complete engine (green rocker cover) and kit for $1150 from the wreckers, ok you dont get the tank but still.

How the hell can you compare buy a partial second hand kit to a drive in drive out conversion?

Just read some more of the thread.

That add you linked was for an Egas engine, wouldn't even have come with gas converter.
Some times I wish people would get the right info before making comment.

Had a look at the JTG price list, Universal 6cyl liquid injection kit, would sell for $4000 plus installation.

Universal 6cyl Emer vapour injection kit $3000 plus installation.

Emmegas EA-AU vapour injection with economy tank $2300 plus install

Emmegas EA-AU vapour injection with Manchester tank $2430 plus install

Emmegas underbonnet kit universal 6cyl $1735 plus install

I priced an universal 4cyl underbonnet kit that uses a Tomasetto reducer and sprintgas injectors and ECU yesterday. $1000, Only suitable for pre 2004 car only. 6cyl kit shouldn't be much more.

relax man we were over it days ago.. lol

I'm very relaxed man.

You'll find all i did was edit a post i'd made, adding what I though may be some useful info.
Some found it usefull,

I can always take the prices out and people can continue talking s**t.

The emmegas converter is pretty much on the limit of power on a stock EF-AU.
The Emer stuff is good for more power.

I offer the Emmegas as lower cost option, but my first choice would be King, Emer or Landi

I've seen a few taxi's with King setups and there happy and seem to be reliable...

I like the Landi and Emer gear personally...

Do u find that u can get better economy if u dyno tune or street tune the log system? I know the factory tune is good but is there room for improvement?

Economy comes from looking at the feul trims in the cars managment system and tuning the LPG map so that there is enough room for the feul trims to function correctly.
Long term trims should be as close to zero as you can get.

Each car is slightly different so there is almost always room to improve.

Best to get it on a dyno or street tuning with wideband and the rest of it???

Wide band is good for checking open loop mixtures.
I use a scan tool to check fuel trims in closed loop. If the cars ECU dosen't give the ability to monitor fuel trims, then wide band is the only option.

I don't own a dyno

That is what I installed recently on my EL Engine in my EB Wagon.

Going great so far.

Cheers

Actually, very happy with it.

If I drive sensibly, I get 50 more kays per tank (350k) compared to the IMPCO Mixer kit (290) in stop start Sydney traffic. But, if you don't drive sensibly, and take advantage of the extra flow the injection kit gives you, you use more.

Surprise!!!! LOL

This afternoon I actually played with the full load mid to high RPM tune, to richen it up some what, and seat of the pants tells me it is pulling stronger now, but still not as good as on petrol.

Considering I have a Wade 1673 cam, intake and exhaust mods, I am not surprised.

From a reliability perspective, I have now done about 3000kays since the install, and it has not let me down. The car drives really nice when on LPG after it has reached normal operating temp. Until then it tends to hunt slightly. I am trying to chase down what I think is a minor weep as I can smell lpg if the A/C is on full and we have been stopped at the lights for minute or so. I want to re crimp all of those clamps this weekend.

On the open road, the lean cruise is awesome and I think on a trip it could get close to 500kays a tank.

Cheers
BenJ

Necro bumping...

Can a factory dedicated gas AU II ute (Marlin if it helps), be converted to vapour injection? Or is it only for dual fuel to start on petrol?

If yes, whats needed? Im assuming the parts to store and deliver to the engine bay are the same, but engine bay end would need an injector rail, and would the manifold with injector holes (Petrol unit), gas injectors, and a management system? Im assuming there is still some form of converter too?
