hi , have ef power steering cooling line leak. as this part is no longer available, can i subsitute with other model , or just run hose strait to pump.?

sorry , good point/ the power steering cooling line , under battery tray i think . line looks coroded , thinking a au - bf line may fit with minimal mods,as can,t sauce ef line anywhere. thanks Trev

{USERNAME} wrote: sorry , good point/ the power steering cooling line , under battery tray i think . line looks coroded , thinking a au - bf line may fit with minimal mods,as can,t sauce ef line anywhere. thanks Trev i think 1st you need to workout what is leaking & then where. without looking at my parts car, i don't believe any [EA to FG?] go under the battery tray - go beside yes. offhand i remember there were problems with a 'o' ring seal [not sure on what model] & i 'think' someone replaced a the pressure line with an aftermarket version, however i'm not 100% [again!]. it 'might' be possible with say an AU1 to swap lines, however i don't know if possible. have seen a few EF/EL pwr steering lines at the front that were corroded badly [i think due to the blocking of airflow re front design?]. for the high pressure line. {DESCRIPTION} {DESCRIPTION} {DESCRIPTION} {DESCRIPTION} unless you mean the hardline in front of the radiator? couldn't find any referance to one other than some pumps mentioning 'suits EF,EL,AU' so maybe a "good luck" thing lol. |
