Hi all, need some help here with some advice.
I have a EF XR8 and want to do alloy heads, cam, lifters, intake. So far I have picked out the heads Ford SB 289 302 351 Windsor 190cc 62cc Hydraulic Flat Assembled Cylinder Heads Cam BLUE RACER HYD CAMSHAFT 218/228 @.050 CD972801 SUIT FORD WINDSOR 289-302CI V8 Ford 5.0L EFI 1986-93 Qualifier Complete Intake Manifold. Will I have to get a new after market ECU? And if so any recommendations? Also can I go to a duel plane manifold with a sniper EFI holley or will I have emission issues? Thanks, first time doing such mods and any advice is welcome. |

You can get away without tuning on that.
Although that is the wrong cam for your engine. You need a Hydraulic Roller cam. Like for example a Comp XE270HR. A dual plane intake is a backward step. That Qualifier intake is a basically a copy of an Edelbrock Performer. Try to get the actual Edelbrock one. Is this car an auto? |
