Gday,

Have just bought a BA Falcon ute with a BF engine in it about 2 days ago. Was told there was around 180,000 on the new motor, was driving home tonight from work tonight when I took off from a set of lights and all of a sudden there was a loud knocking sound coming from the engine. It gets louder the more I accelerate/higher revs but completely goes away when I come to a stop at the lights or idle. I did just give it a full tank of 98 after it had apparently been sitting for a month. This is my first Falcon so any help would be appreciated, cheers guys

Specs in case anyone needs:

Fg diff in the rear (ex skid ute so it’s been welded)
Apparently it’s got a 98 limi tune
Underdrive kit
Everything else is stock as far as I know, will try and diagnose but doubt I’ll be able to tell unless I pull the engine apart and actually have a look at the cylinders.
