wiper motor in the AU has decided to eat itself, works slowly going up then parks itself a few inches from where it should and then doesnt sound happy!

i went and looked up the price of a used one at the wreckers and its $250 for the motor alone! i went to the internet and yea thats the going rate for an AU wiper motor how ever the wiper motors from a BA look exactly the same, bolt holes, plugs everything and they are only $50 for the motor!

so question; does anyone have any inside knowledge if these are compatible or not? has anyone swapped in one into an AU or vice versa?
