Link to the AU's build thread:
post1331742.html#p1331742 As for this old girl. I'm going to use it as my shopping centre and throwing the mountain bike in the back of the car hack for a while. I think after that I'm going to try and motorkhana it. I did a bit of motorkhana in a VN commodore a couple of yars ago and had fun but it was auto, unregistered and a boat. The EF is manual (I've got the old T5 back for it), has the whiteline suspension in it and most importantly I can drive it to the track and home again which is what f**k the VN idea. That's all going to depend on how the motorkhana clubs timetable lines up with my work roster. At the end of all that; not sure what I'll do with it. I'd hate to see it get wrecked; but I'm also realistic about what condition the paint work is in and who will want it after that. |

Hi everyone,
Long time no post again. I've also posted this over in the AU build thread, but these two cars are really intertwined, so here is the update (cut and pasted) from the other thread. If you know any one who might be interested in buying the car, please point them in the direction of the Collecting Cars auction. Thanks, Nic! So for updates: The car is for sale, there is heaps of details on the listing so I'll just post it: https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/200 ... vct-au-iii The turbo conversion got completed in October 2016 and fully engineered and registered in WA in early 2017. I ended up dropping the twin turbo set up as it was giving way too many headaches trying to cram everything into the engine bay, so instead went with a 6 boost manifold and a single Garret GT3582R. The computer got changed over to a Link EMS which is miles ahead of the old EMS computer; it's given me full fly by wire control including traction, launch and cruise controls. In the end it quite comfortably ran up 506rwhp (377rwkw) and can do it every day of the week; I've put around 35,000km on the new driveline. All in all, it's been an amazing car, but it's time for me to move it on. If you are interested, or know anyone who might be, please share it around for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! |
