I am putting a XR8 bonnet on to a BA Fairlane.
The reason for this is due to engine change as I am putting in a Boss 290. Should I leave bumper as it is or get a XR bumper and fit it

What look are you going for. ? If you want to go for a sleeper look and keep the Fairlane style, leave the bumper and lights/grille original.
If you change to the XR8 lights and bumper, then you get an XR8 front, I'm not sure if you can fit the XR8 rear bumper , but it would be look better if the front and rear matched. I know the Fairlane has a longer wheelbase, but sure about the boot area. Last edited by mflXR8 on Thu Feb 29, 2024 8:28 am, edited 1 time in total. |

Think a sleeper Fairlane slightly lowered, with a tuned Boss 290, will be a nice car.
This may help answer your question about mods. ford-v8-f2/boss-290-how-much-hp-with-these-mods-t30140.html Post updates as the project comes along. |
