Not sure if it has been covered in the 41 pages in this thread....
im wondering what makes the 6tbb 'police-spec'?
what does police spec actually mean?
what is the difference compared to a non-police-spec?

Ive got 2 el xr6 and both have the 6tbb ecu - they seem to be normal xr6 to me.

Hi new to the site , just wondering if you still had the NCII ecu you were trying to get rid of years ago. I am on the look out for one if any one has got one on the shelf.
last letters I am led to believe can be JD or JE on the part number.

Realise I'm being hopeful posting a question on a long dead thread.
Usually I can work things out for myself.
But I can't confirm what this AU ECU is - 22AA
The seller told me it's from a;
- 4.0L
- series 2/3?
- manual?
- VCT?

I'm converting an XR6 S2 HP Auto - to a VCT Manual.
Thanks very much for any help.

Ok i have looked everywhere for what this ecu is from and have no idea. 12KD - I think it might be a AU ecu but not sure. Ive looked everywhere and even typed it in google and still nothing.

From the listing on page one! :wink: - 12?D - AU Series 3 XR6 Manual ECU could be this? :!: :?:

In my AU S3 XR6 factory VCT Manual I have a 12WD.
I think that is what the 12?D is on this original list.

I should note that the ECU rivet had been removed.
But I still think 12WD is the original ECU.

I have also seen advertised a 12WC as a VCT Manual.
Which makes sense as an earlier version of the 12WD.

Also wanted to note that the BP Racing list still seems to be the most comprehensive list available online...for AU's anyway...which is a great resource for them still to be providing...thankyou;

It's a shame I can't get them to answer my messaged questions about their current J3 chips though :(

A very generous forum member, who I stalked with a pm :( has helped me out about my 22AA ECU.

"I finally got some time to do some research at work today. So I won't bore you with the details but I'm confident that ECU is for a Series 2/3 VCT XR6 Manual. Hope this helps."

It certainly does help me...thankyou very much again.
