so ....... the BA is currently on hold due to killing off another gearbox with a BF M7 currently being worked on .. it's a LPG only car.
the BF currently has had the front seats changed to Fairymont Ghia style seats, but with out the 6way/8way memory bases [later stage] as the base 6way seat bases have been fitted [from the BA]. {DESCRIPTION} {DESCRIPTION} as per the BA it has the FG steering wheel/clockspring & SZ combination switches. majority of the car interior has been changed from brown .. to black. none of the wiring has currently been changed as that will be a 'later' job [after i find a BF Fairymont LPG PCM & matching ABS plus rear brake lines!] as the BA is currently not on the road just picked up a surprisingly very good condition cornering light set [with base], Fairylane grille and memory mirrors plus vents. the BF now has the BA ICC & a BF XR cluster fitted & working, the cluster needs to go to {DESCRIPTION} to have the fuel gauge altered to suit the wagooon. as per the BA i have 8way seat frames waiting to be covered/fitted to both cars - that's both front seats. for the rear seats i'm 'making do' with some NU Fairylane seats ..... when the correct rear seats from a Fairymont pop up i'll be grabbing em. the BF has had the rear wiring loom for electric windows fitted ...... just need to finish it off by fitting the correct regs, which i have. and both M7's have all the wiring looms needed to suit [mix of SX/BA/BF/SY] plus all the required parts to turn the wagooons into 'Fairymont Ghia' clones. hopefully all done sooner ..... than later cheers {DESCRIPTION} |

{USERNAME} wrote: Ok brains trust . . ... i need to make up two templates for the seat memory switches fitted to the sedans & the territory's [due to the slightly differant cutouts] . sedan {DESCRIPTION} terri {DESCRIPTION} for the life of me i'm not sure whether to use shaped plastic [from the inside - lot of work to shape tho] or layered aluminium sheet on the outside [so it's shaped & has locators] or heated plastic moulded to shape re outside. refer to pics.. {DESCRIPTION} Terri on the left & sedan on the right. any ideas or hints?. current thought is the layered aluminium with one cut out per sedan & other shaped, marked out re sedan but then mark out as per terri and cutout as terri .. if you get my drift. sound good?. sedan template is for my car & terri template is for her car. i have aftermarket replacement trims here for both cars but they are unmarked hence wanting a template of some sort. Thanks {USERNAME} wrote: i was thinking of using the mounting screw hole [only say half the hole tho] plus the half round shape to the left & then the upper edge as locators?. {DESCRIPTION} 'x' marks the spots. and the part of said seat trim has lots of curves.. so not easily shaped with mdf?. plus the step in ze middle..... looking at the curves from a differant perspective - from top looking down {DESCRIPTION} from front {DESCRIPTION} from rear {DESCRIPTION} anyone gotz any advice??. Thanks |

Keen to see how you progress though. so do i! at the momento it's a case of where do i go/start....... the one person i know that could answer all my questions & help point me in the right direction .. passed away a coupla years back i seem to have NO communication between the cluster, ICC, HIM & PCM, but they show up with no DTC's shown [well except for the PCM which comes up with faults due to missing parts from engine & dead gearbox - coolant thru box & no pan]. doesn't seem to be any issue with the BEM as i changed the column & programmed in new keys for it!. and except for the 4 items mentioned ...... everything else seems to work?. half tempted to find another BA Fairylane dash loom & retry with that.. i gotz this far and then . . . . ... . {DESCRIPTION} all airbags are fitted even tho steering wheel bag isn't shown in pic, plus cluster is also fitted. and no fuses seem to have blown?. |

Sorry to hear about your mate.
You've sure got a project on your hands there. Definitely sounds like it would be worthwhile picking up another dash loom and go with that. |

Definitely sounds like it would be worthwhile picking up another dash loom and go with that. your going well with your new turbo project yourself. i recognize the pic. yeah the mate was someone that everybody got along with and his name is Gothefalcon [RIP] an awesome bloke. my problem is understanding how to mate up the Fairylane/Futura [wagooon]/territory wiring looms without hiccups...... i have previously fitted Gothefalcon's [RIP] FG steering wheel mod [with SZ combo switch] with the steering column that he mentioned still to be fitted after all the wiring is done. |

Hey, thanks mate! And yeah, cheers, it’s been a fun (and sometimes challenging) turbo journey. Really appreciate the recognition. {DESCRIPTION}
Sad to hear about Gothefalcon—sounds like he was a true legend in the community. His mods and advice helped so many of us, and it’s good to see his influence still rolling on through builds like yours. [RIP Gothefalcon]. |
