hey all

i am having a problem with wiring or something when my car is at idle it is charging when i have the headlights on or any load it decreases and when it is at a higher rpm it also decreases in charge cutting everything out it is dropping below 12v anyway i have changed the regulator, alternator, battery, leads, and checked all the wires and connections

the oly thing is that when i leave a couple of the wires off the positive ones that involve charge etc the car is charging at 14.5v what might it be maybe ignition wiring or computer or something

any suggestions would be great

Sounds more like a poor connection somewhere. If you have checked all the connections around the battery and alternator, start checking for earth connections elsewhere, in the cabin, dash etc.
