Hi Guys,

Just wondering if the ECU loom for a Futura is the same as say a XR or Ghia Loom. Talking I6 buy the way

Cheers

Yeah, i think there are a few models kicking around out there with fancy stuff like speed sensitive power steering so you probably want to avoid these parts if possible.

But yeah - an I6 loom is an I6 loom. Most of the differences arise in the BEM/body looms etc.

For starters, EEC will never see/hear about the oil pressure - that goes straight to the dash....

Knock sensor is simply an input to the ECU - so it runs in the engine loom.... pin 23 on the ECU IIRC...

Have you got a workshop manual mate? Im guessing the EL gear sets you back a pretty penny so its probably worth springing out for a max ellery's EF/EL book.... the ECU pinouts and wiring diagrams are the most valuable thing in there...

As for ECU - dash communication i think its just the data output link (pin 34) to the dash...

Also the smartlock signal (i.e. signal to EEC which tells it to allow engine to run)... pin 4

This will also help a great deal...
