starter isnt working, i put new pipes on for trans oil, took starter out to fit em,now the s*** wont work. How does the wiring go? i got 3 wires.. one big fat one that goes to the battery, a brown one, and a red one, from memory the red one goes onto the thread with the blue one, and the brown one goes on its own clip, there are two clips, does it matter which one????

I put a new starter motor in mine the other day and there were only two terminals, one for the positive to the battery and one earth. Don't know if it should be any different

yes it will matter, one is so it will supply a positive while cranking (to bypass ballast resistor on old cars), and the other one will be for the key terminal. just leave the wires off, and get a test light and see which wire provides power when the key is switched to the start position.

Call me stupid, but i would have thought that there would be a spade connecter on only one wire which would have made your life a little easier.
