Can the Au VCT SOHC or Barra DOHC heads fit onto the ef block, i know the BA's are taller and wider but if anyone knows exact dimensions etc or if a full conversion would be necessary... also if an xr6T conversion to a SOHC I6 is feasible (turbo, manifolds, intercooler etc)

cheers

the BA head will fit but u need the BA timing cover etc and water pump
also it has coil on plug ignition and twin VCT also the exhaust is different
basically u will need aftermarket ECU to control it all

all for a little gain be bette off putting a BAXr6t motor in

the AU head will fit without problems ( non VCT ) but u will need to use AU rocker gear and cam

The AU is a straight swap the AU VCT is possible with timing cover and other accessories and ECU cahnges to go with iot the BA is pretty well out of the question.

What about a BA turbo conversion is that possible...
Are the manifolds the same and how much (new or second hand), or would a custom setup be better.
Cheers!

you can put a complete BA into a pre ba but it is BIG$$
and a new aftermarket ECU is needed
cost vs power a turbo setup is more benificial and cost effective
also a new K frame is needed or modification
