I am saving very hard for this new supercharger kit from the rodshop for my te cortina and need to put extractors and a webber on for the kit.

three questions: 1) what is involved for putting the webber on? is it just a spacer plate? will all the cables and stuff attach straight up? is it easier to put the whole manifold on? i have a cast iron head...

2) what type of extractors work well?

3) can i get a electronic dizzy? how do u fit it etc? is it better?

if anyoen knows then it would be a big help, thanks very much!!!

on that kit it has a draw thru system so the carby sits ion A supplied manifold that bolts to th supercharger then a pipe from the charger runs over the engine and bolts down to a 2 barrel holley pattern. so ur best bet would be buy a webber seperate tan then buy a redline 2bbl holley inlet manifold

are you sure on that? those sc's arent draw through i dont think.

They just run off a belt and pump air down into the standard weber with different jets.

i have decided to just forget about the sc kit anyway after talking to some others. i have a alloy head which has bigger valves standard, shaved 30 thou, weber carby, and am gonna run crow cam, and extractors with it...

if you're running an alloy head, you should be able to use the manifold and webber carby from any XE-XF X-flow

You can't fit the e.ectronic dizzy to an old engine with out modification, as the dissy body is wider, the clamp screw is mounted firther out and the block castings are different. Also the bit of the dissy that goes into the block is a different diameter. Been there, tried that, didn't work.

Chris you still haven't swung past and checked out my extractors and zorst on the XF. Even if you don't want to buy it you can still check it out for a few ideas as to what you should go for on your corty.
