hey all

just a question on the rear power windows - i have a futura, so have the front power windows, and was looking to fit rear ones. now the q is do you need to run the windows thru the main wiring - i.e. do i have to run a 4-window switch on the centre console or can i just have the switches on the rear doors? as if i can, i'd rather just wire up the rear doors on their own...

cheers

I'm pretty sure you can do just the rear switches. It would just be a matter of not wiring up the front ones!

Yep, should work without a hitch, just make sure you run them through the power window fuse for easy replacement access in case one overloads.

not necessarily, if i have upgraded door trims which, in order to look complete, need to have the rear electrics fitted in them...

lol i'm aware of that frank! :P but $$$-wise, it might not be worthwhile trying to track down one of the 4-window controllers for the front... as well as the other assorted parts etc.

yeh i can understand that... when u wire them tho it would be worth running the wireing to the console near the switch? just so when/if u do decide to add front control its a piece of pie...
