Ok heres the deal.

Dad said that when he got a new car I could have the EF, But he recently traded the EF in for a BA XT. I asked him why he did it and he said "Your mother doesnt want you to drive a big car like a falcon, she doesnt trust you or something."
So because of my mum I have to try and find a car I can afford.
I decided to get something from the 70's because my grandad can help me work on it since he used to service all my mums cars up till they got too complicated.

So whats a good model Ford from the 70's? (cant get a Falcon cause mum would sell it when I was asleep.)

Well in 3 weeks I get my P's. My dad's willing to let me borrow his BA, but when I ask them if I can get a EB or ED mum chucks a s**t fit about how much it will cost on fuel and if I get one she will sell it when im asleep, and for some reason Dad doesnt want me to have a car with LPG because of some stupid reason like they blow up easier.

Yeah its true, if a gas car catches fire theres not much you can do to put it out, but it can happen to petrol cars too...
How often doesit happen?!? NEVER
Its like saying dont go to sleep cause youll wake up dead tomorow, its stupid to say that about all gas cars :P

The technology is getting better every day, a gas falcon can get same mileage or more to a tank that costs $30 a week to fill up, mine costs about $70 and i get 450k's if im lucky!!

Your mum wont sell it while your asleep, trust me parents arent that mean, and it takes alot longer to sell a car then you think.
If you pay for it theres no way they would sell it out from under you, especially if you use it to get to/from school or work or whatever.
As long as you remember that its YOURE licence thats on the line, and on red P's you only get 4 points, you could lose it all in 1 go, which means no driving again for 12 months -- just remember that :)

As for oldschool fords, get a falcon for SURE, but if you cant find like an old GT in decent nick, get a 90's model.
they are much safer then a s**t excel or pulsar or laser or whatever mummy wants you to drive.
They are built like TANKS, ive been T-Boned by a taxi (Falcon) in my old EA Fairmont Ghia, he mustve been doing a good 50k's, sure my car was written off but I didnt even get a sore neck...

As for youre dad saying you can borrow the BA, thats fkn lucky man, my old man wont let me borrow his car, even though mine accelerates faster!

yeh jim beam emphasise the fact that falcons are built like tanks. thats exactly what i told my mum.
tank = safety (sort of)
it may go through a load of fuel but thats the trade off for having a big car and a little piece of mind.
i know what car i would want to be in if im heading into a pole at 100km

Oh my mum wont sell it straight away she will just take it to one of her friends places and keep it there. But if she did that, I would call the cops and tell them that my car was stolen(which would be the truth) and then they would be f**k.

Oh and I told Dad about the gas tanks, and he said "I know that I was just agreeing with your mother." and ill talk to mum about it tomorrow night after work and hopefully I can get this ED Fairmont I've had my eye on.
