My automatic gearbox gives me whiplash changing from 1st to second gear.



Does anyone know the main cause for this happening? it usually happens more often when the car is hot. Dont want the auto repair place to rip me off.

my old ea ghia did this, was a s5 solenoid cactus, most gbox places wanted 350ish to repair it

mate maybe a service mite fix it...mite need to tighten the bands

Just recieved my ed back from the same auto place who didnt fix the problem i asked to be fixed the first time. 1st time I Told them that the gear was banging into second , so they replaced the speed sensor, gave it a service replaced a few other electronic switches cleared its memory and gave me a 491 dollar bill, all which didnt fix anything. So now they replaced the pressure switch which changed nothing. They didnt charge me for this , lucky for them!!!!


Basically they said I will need a new gear box later on as they found a piece of metal at the bottom of the casing when they pulled it apart this time.
