got an EF xr8 intake snorkel from a mate the other day, everyone reckons ELxr8 will go into an EB/ED no probs.... was the EF different to the EL? cos this sure as f**k doesnt fit.

i could make it fit, but i could also make a square fit into a circle with enough f**k around.

seems like the lip on it is too long and it has a queer sort of curve/bend in it. anyone put on of these in an 8cyl EB/ED or better yet and LTD or fairlane?

i assumed people were slotting them straight in- maybe i assumed wrong!

from memory, correct me if I am wrong, the EF one has a slightly bigger throat than the EL one!

the only problem seems to be the lip / mouth curls a bit and so it sits like half an inch up from the screw holes. and it sticks out a bit, but the bonnet still shuts. havent bothered hacking it up yet, might try a swap if a different kind will fit-

You will have to trim some off the lip to fit most likely..
And/ or drill new holes for it to fit..

if you have thermo fans, and its a 5.0, you may have to heat it up and bend it around to fit the power steering i think it was.

But otherwise, you should just have to trim it a little, to fit.
