Well, as we all know, the Sony Xplod sound systems are.. average. However, has anyone had experience with their in car LCD screens?
The one I'm looking at, is the "XTLW7000" for $800

With a fully motorised 7" monitor, this in-dash display provides a very flexible viewing platform. Equipped with built-in TV tuner and FM modulator as well as four other inputs this monitor is ready for a Back-Eye Camera, Satellite Navigation or most other source units.

Motorized 7" Monitor
High Brightness and Wide viewing Angle (IPS-LCD)
Built -in TV Tuner (PAL)
Built-in FM Modulator
Sony Bus AV Output
2 x AV Input (Front/Rear)
PAL/NTSC Switchable
1 x Front AV Input
Remote Control
TV Antenna (Film Type)
16:9 Monitor Aspect Ratio
4 Display Modes (Full, Normal, Wide, Zoom, Cinema)
BTM (Best Tuning Memory)
1 x Audio Video Input (Front/Rear)
1 x Rear Camera Video Input with Reverse Link
1 x Audio Video Output
TV Antenna (VCA-119) Supplied
Remote Commander (RM-X701) Supplied
Speaker (Built-in)
FM modulator

Now, from all that, it looks liek a good unit, but numbers and words can be decieving. So, has anyone had experience with this particular unit, or any other sony in car visual unit?

from what i think about visual

if it works its good enough.

to me its just a screen

id be happy with a $400 setup inc dvd player and 7" pull out screen off ebay.

it wouldnt effect me if it was some shonky brand or sony/pionner/alpine etc

I haven't had a problem with mine so far. I've got the 7 inch motorized one thats about a year or two old now. Not too sure on the model number.
Given me no problems, and i bought it s/h off a mate about a year ago, he had it for about 6 months or so before me.

Can't fault it.
