I am getting a set of headers next week and i am wondering if any guys have had much gains with lukey(motivator) pressed bent extractors on EL 6cyl auto's. I have done some research and Jim Mock used them before he made his own. They are dyno proven to give the best gains over the entire rev range. Pacemakers on automatics are suppose to kill low down torque and increase top end only.
Any feedback would be great. Cheers Luke. |

i can deny that, i have paceys and they increase bottom end and kill top end a little, but add a cam to it and im sure u will have an awesome throughout the rev range!
btx, i have the standard paceys not comp ones

i had Lukeys, (the motivators that you speak of), I now have Pacemaker Competitions, just the fact that I didn't switch back to the Lukey's speakes for itself. My cars auto and it gained downlow.

Pulco,
What paceys do you have, are they the 4400's? bcuz i was looking at getting 4480's (the comp series) but i heard they give MOSTLY top end, i know throughout the range is hard to get, but bcuz i have a BA its a bit of a dog off the start and i was looking at atleast mid-->high end gains, if not low end at all/aswell, anyone elses information is valued aswell, cheers. |

Pacey comps improved my down low over the Lukies.

so you guys, are certain that the car will pull harder off the line with pacemaker comps compared with the standard headers.
It's just wierd because my brother's VL lost low down torque when he fitted pacemakers, got them removed and put the stock headers back on. Got his low down pulling power back but lost the top end. Then put a set of lukeys on, got a good gain through the entire rev range. I think i'll still settle with a set of lukey's or wildcat comps(made by genie). Thanks for your input. Wildcat have about 5 differnt sets for the I6 so i'll have to do some further investigations. I had mendral bent genie extractors on my EA MPI which were for low down torque but after fitting them i lost low down power and only gained top end. go figure?? Cheers Luke. |

Key problem there is your comparing to a VL! Different engines, different extractors used. Best way to boost low down torque on a budget - fit a wade cam (highly recomend 1604 if your auto - total cost under $250 with all new gaskets) and Pacey comps, prolly set you back up to $500. |

I think i will get the lukey 6-3-1 headers after finding this interesting thread by the ford team at "mr mock".
HI, U already have the exhaust, and your CAT is massively large enough, trust me......ON dyno tests we have proven a loss of only 1rwkw with the cat U have...... Fit a set of the little looking LUKEY headers to it, in stainless or steel, IN FACT stainless can fatigur easier than steel........ These extractors are pretty cheap and fit easily......thay have produced more power and throttle response than any other set we have used............ USE THEM, THEY WORK. Some may look big and pretty, but these work....... regards, brenden mock I know the pacey comp's and jim mock headers were probably not produced when this thread was written because they are probably better. But it means there dyno proven to be better than wildcats, genies, pacemaker standards etc..... and cost $200 less fitted....... go figure............ cheers luke.......... |

looks like the pacemaker standards are a waste of time, but the comps would be better than the lukey's.

so what i can tell the best extractors for a 6cyl ea-el falcon is ;;
1) Jim Mock extractors 2) Pacemaker Comp Extractors 3) Lukey pressed bent extractors (upto $300 LESS FITTED) 4) Pacemaker standards 5) Genie and wildcat 6) and the rest................. |

There is only a 2kw gain at the rear wheels between the JMM & the 4499 standed pacies on stock mtrs. So you need to do other work to your mtr to benifit the cost of comps & Jmm extractors.

when i was hunting for extractors i talked to alot of people who said the lukey ones were a waste of time. also if you hunt around you cen get pacies for only a little more than the lukies (at least i did).
lukeys - $290 Pacies 4499 - $310, 4480 (what i have) - $360 these prices are supply only and were from aussie discount brakes and mufflers hindmarsh SA
