HI I NEED HELP ASAP I GOT A FORD EF XR6 AND THE RADIO REQUIRES A CODE AND I THINK I HAVE THE CODE WHICH IS _8_9 NOW WHEN U PUT THE CODE IN THERE ARE THE NUMBERS 1 - 6 HOW DO U PUT THE NUMBER 8 OR 9 IN OR IS THIS CODE INVALID CAN NE 1 PLEASE REPLAY ASAP

Your code would be a 4 digit number and only using numbers from 1-6.

Should be in your car manual.

iirc it should actually be on a car thats should be included with the car when u purchace it....ours did come with the car...so we just went down to the local ford dealer and grabed the number from them...so just drive down to the ford dealer and get them to grab the number for you...they just need your vin number and proof of ownership i think...

just dont go to Denmac at Darra..they charge for disclosing the number.

Ride: '96 EF Fairmont

Location: Witbank (South Africa)
Oustide Australia

I've got a Grundig deck in my Fairmont and its got a 4 digit code which you put in using the 1st four buttons. eg. if the first digit is 6 then press the first button six times, i.e. until the number six appears, and so on. When finished, I press the "loud" button to confirm. Hope this helps you.

Actually, most Fords came fitted with Grundig "back in the day". Rated fairly highly over here.
