Hey guys, Another question! Yesterday just sitting in my car listening to my stereo well the car was idling (sad) i know i pushed the button for the power windowsw to go down in the front (driver side) it went down fine. After i was done i went to put it back up and it got stuck half way, it went down fine but would just creep upwards very slowly. So i tried the passenger window and it does the same thing! btw the car is a ef futura! what could it be apart from a flat battery. remember both windows do it.

the regulators could be on their way out. seems odd for them both to start suddenly at the same time though

ive got a similar prob to yours goes down fine but on the way up its as slow as,try pulling the window towards the rear window cause they could be loose on the tracks and be rubbing hard, thats what mine is doing and when i pull it back it goes up fine.
cheers

I think there is a post this further back in this section that says something about lubricating them as they tend to stick of they are not lubricated properly. There is some sort of lube you can get from supercheap.
Cheers. Dave. |

I've heard of all 4 going at once before. Working fine then all stopped working. Regs were the last thing replaced and solved the problem.

There is an issue with the electric windows. You'll probably notice it more when the window is wet. I got mine fixed in a service, they put some new lubrication onto it and it's worked fine ever since!

Silcone spray is a suitable product and does the job well, but there is also a graphite based lube that I have been told works well. I personally use the silicone spray as it is cheaper. I have had no further problems since I have used it.
