Since fitting the cruise to the car and since the original steering column combination switch fitted to my car was buggered (boss contacts broken), I had to fit a replacement.

UNfortunately the replacement was not from a ED XR and having the ED XR front on the car, when the headlights are switched to hi beam, only the hi beam lamps illuminate. The low beams switch off.

This will not fly and I need to fix the problem, preferrably without sourcing an ED XR combination switch.

Any suggestions, or ideas? Any help would be appreciated!

Ummmm, wont the two cross power each other then?

I mean the lows will be on with the hibeam's, but the hi's will also be on with the lows....if you get what I mean!

I s'pose I could use a relay triggered by the hi beams to powerup the low's, but that sounds messy to me. I wonder if there is a way to correct this by doctoring the combo switch?

XR8 Dismantler, if you are reading this do you have any ED XR combo switches available that would rectify this problem?
